INCIDENT FILE // UNRESOLVED

THE
BLACKOUT
FILE.

Short version. No prophecy. No chosen one. Just one extremely stubborn light.

01

3:17 A.M.

The east side went dark in eleven seconds. Billboards, traffic lights, diner signs—gone. Then the shape appeared above a closed laundromat, glowing like it had missed the memo.

02

THE TEST.

Engineers cut the block twice. The symbol stayed on. Someone covered it with a tarp. The tarp began glowing too. That part made the report weird.

03

THE RULE.

It never speaks. It never moves while watched. But wherever something gives up—a sign, a screen, a tired old jukebox—the mark appears nearby, bright and unimpressed.

04

STILL LIVE.

By morning, the grid was back. The symbol remained. The city stopped trying to explain it and started using it as a landmark.

OFFICIAL CONCLUSION

PROBABLY FINE.

Unofficial conclusion: don't stand too close with a dead phone.
